It was second time around that their biking itineraries were not followed. However, the sudden detour brought them to a greater adventure.

My sister and her biking buddy pedalled to the town of Bacnotan, La Union PH. Bacnotan is popularly known for bee farms and honey. A special festivity is held every year showcasing the town’s famous product. The town is also a home to a cement plant, a state university and a fisheries center among others.

The duo easily headed to the town as the route is all-flat the whole trip. Biking around the town is a pleasure. It is a great way to de-stress and exercise.

It seems that the duo is so enthralled of their biking adventure that they hardly noticed their exhaustion. The next day, they headed to Upper San Agustin at Bauang. The place is fondly called USA, without the Statue of Liberty but only great biketrails. Its a bike-and-hike adventure that is reminiscent to one of the YT videos of Danny Macaskill but without the cliffhanging terrain and the backbreaking stunts.

Covid is here to stay, at the moment. We must observe proper health protocols inorder to get rid of it. That is, washing your hands, maintain social distancing and have a healthy lifestyle. Let us not be complacent even if we got already the jab.

And one way to have a healthy lifestyle is. . . . guess it. Biking.

Suit up guys!
